Graeme Mitchell is the co-founder and CEO of iATSIC. Drawing on decades of experience across many industries, he pioneered a unique engagement system aimed at revolutionising workplace safety.
A fundamental mission of iATSIC is to increase employment opportunities for Indigenous Australians and to see them lead the way in workforce engagement.
Stephen co-founded iATSIC with Graeme Mitchell. He currently works in an industry-based Indigenous recruitment and mentoring role.
He was the regional coordinator for the Central Western Queensland CDEP and held the position of Community Development Officer with the Central West Aboriginal Corporation. He also has extensive experience in the rail industry. Steve recognises the positive impact that career-based engagement can have on Indigenous communities.
Una Appo, is a proud Wakka Wakka woman from Eidsvold, Queensland. She is a director of the Wakka Wakka Native Title Aboriginal Corporation.
Una is driven by her passion for Indigenous engagement and the rights of the community. Una’s goals are simple: to win determination of native title rights and interests to the Wakka country, and to represent her people with diligence and accountability.
Mike Taylor is a proud Yallock Bullock man from the Kulin nation of Victoria. He is based in Queensland, and currently lives and works on Wakka country.
Mike has over 35 years’ experience across all levels of government. Mike has worked on Country all around Australia, specialising in animal control, feral animal management and local law enforcement.
Mike recognises the clear need for practical, engagement-based solutions for Indigenous communities.
Shane Webcke is renowned as one of rugby league’s best front-row forwards. Since retiring, he has become a compelling speaker, author and safety ambassador. Shane has been talking about safety and engagement in one form or another for almost 20 years.
When he played, he didn’t miss anyone on the field, and when he speaks, he doesn’t miss anyone in the room. That’s because he cares about making sure workers go home safe to their families.

Shane’s passion for safety-based workplace engagement makes him a perfect fit for iATSIC.
David Randall is the Managing Director of DRA Safety Specialists and has been involved in the Work Health and Safety Industry since 1990. He provides consulting, training and auditing services to clients throughout Australia and overseas.
He has been the Regional Representative of the Gold Coast Branch of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS) since its inception in 1990 and was AIHS President in QLD &NT from 2008 to 2011.
David recognises that engagement is central to long-term safety success. He shares the iATSIC vision of safety-based engagement and is proud to be working with them in Indigenous communities.
Mark is an energetic business leader with broad management capabilities. He has held senior managerial roles in the corporate digital media sector with companies such as NewsCorp, News Digital Media, and Fox Sports before starting his own specialist business growth consultancy.
Mark has also founded a US-based biosciences company and several tech-based start-ups. He has been an advisor with Bionics Queensland with the Bionics Challenge 2020 as a mentor of bionic innovations.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Marketing and a Masters in Business Technology. Mark brings a wealth of expertise coupled with a unique philosophical base that closely aligns with that of iCHASE and iATSIC.
Leonie is a plain English specialist, trainer, content writer and editor. She has over 20 years’ experience in state and local government.
A qualified Librarian, Leonie is a strong advocate for adult literacy and lifelong learning. Leonie also holds a Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
Leonie is excited to be part of iATSIC’s training team, equipping Aboriginal Australians to bring customised engagement training to their own communities.
Struan currently works as a supervisor in the rail industry. Struan was mentored by Stephen Passmore while they worked together in Western Australia.
Struan is proud of his Indigenous heritage and wants to see young, engaged Indigenous people forging careers in the rail industry.
